One team, one pipeline
SOC/STUDIO is a 3D product rendering and animation studio. Modelling, look development, lighting, animation, simulation and compositing all happen in one place, which is why the bottle in the film is the same bottle as the one on the product page — not a second supplier’s interpretation of it.
What the studio actually does
Product imagery and product film, mostly. Photoreal renders of things that have to survive being looked at closely — glass, aluminium, clearcoat, leather, fabric, liquid — and the films built from the same assets. Around that sits the rest of a brand’s moving output: VFX on live footage, 2D animation and motion graphics, animated identity systems, and a monthly retainer for brands that need volume rather than one hero film a year.
Why one pipeline rather than several suppliers
Splitting modelling, lighting and compositing across separate vendors is where 3D projects quietly lose both their look and their schedule. Each supplier rebuilds what the last one made, slightly differently, and nobody notices until the film and the product page sit next to each other on a screen. Here the lighting rig that sold the concept in the style frame is the rig that renders the master, and the model in the packshot is the model in the animation.
How a project runs
The order exists so that the cheap decisions happen before the expensive ones. Nothing is rendered at full cost until the look has been agreed on a frame that costs almost nothing to change.
- Brief, reference and scope — CAD, artwork, samples, and the shot list
- Modelling, or cleanup of the CAD you already have
- Look development — materials and finishes matched against reference
- Lighting and camera, signed off on a test frame before the full render
- Render, comp, grade and delivery in every format the campaign needs
How we work with clients
Fixed quotes against a defined shot list rather than open-ended hourly billing, so the risk of a build taking longer than expected sits here rather than with you. One approval point per stage. Files delivered in the formats your editors and your CMS already use. And where the honest answer is that you should book a photographer instead, you get told that — it is cheaper than the alternative for everyone.
What we don’t do
No paid media, no agency-of-record work, no SEO, no web development. No stock-footage edits dressed up as production. And no volume commitment that the calendar cannot honestly fill — if a month has nothing worth saying, fewer and better pieces is the recommendation you will get.
Where we work
Remotely, with clients anywhere. Product rendering is one of the few disciplines where distance genuinely does not matter: the brief arrives as CAD and artwork, the work happens in a machine, and the deliverables are files. Reach the studio at shaeel@socstudio.pro.
